Migraines
Debilitating headaches, often with nausea, light sensitivity, and visual disturbances.
About this condition
Migraines are more than just severe headaches. They're a neurological condition that can cause intense throbbing pain - usually one-sided - alongside nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound. Some people experience an 'aura' (visual or sensory disturbances) before the headache. While triggers vary, musculoskeletal and lifestyle factors play an important contributing role for many sufferers.
Common symptoms
- Severe throbbing or pulsating head pain, often one-sided
- Nausea and sometimes vomiting
- Sensitivity to light and sound
- Visual disturbances (aura) before the headache
- Lasting 4 to 72 hours without treatment
