Joint degeneration causing pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility - highly manageable with the right care.

About this condition

Osteoarthritis involves the gradual breakdown of cartilage within joints, leading to pain, stiffness, and sometimes swelling. It most commonly affects the knees, hips, hands, and spine. While it's often thought of as 'wear and tear', it's very manageable - and exercise and manual therapy can significantly improve pain and quality of life.

Common symptoms

  • Joint pain, often worse after activity
  • Stiffness after rest that eases with movement
  • Swelling or tenderness around the joint
  • A grating or creaking sensation in the joint
  • Reduced range of motion
