About this condition
A bunion (hallux valgus) is a bony protrusion that forms at the base of the big toe as the toe drifts inward towards the other toes. It can cause pain, redness, and difficulty finding comfortable footwear. While surgery is sometimes required in severe cases, conservative management can significantly reduce pain and slow progression.
