How many Counselling sessions will I need?

The number of counseling sessions varies for each person and depends on factors like the nature of your concerns and your therapy goals. Some find resolution in a few sessions, while others benefit from more extended support. At SoCo Therapies, we tailor the duration to your unique needs, regularly assessing progress. Our flexible approach ensures that the number of sessions aligns with your evolving goals, aiming for positive and lasting changes at a pace comfortable for you.

Do I need a doctor's referral for Counselling?

No, you do not need to have a referral to see one of our counsellors.

How long does a Counselling session last?

Our appointment times may vary. Typically the sessions are 50 minutes. We also offer free, 15-minute consultations to discuss the suitability of treatment initially.

Do you treat under 18s?

Yes, we do. Counselling is suitable for any age but for appointments for young children, please call us to discuss this beforehand as different practitioners have different specialties.

How often should you get Counselling?

This can entirely depend on the client and the severity of the problems being addressed. However, it’s common to get weekly treatments initially.

What problems does Counselling treat?

Counselling is effective in addressing a wide range of concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, grief, trauma, and life transitions.
