At SoCo Therapies, we put the needs of the patients first and try to find innovative ways to provide patients with the most effective solutions, that are also long-lasting.
OsteoMassage can also be a great way of maintaining good function throughout the body, even when you are not in pain. In fact, this can be a good time to get this treatment, to keep the muscles in a good state, with the joints moving well.

The assessment included with the OsteoMassage sessions means that treatment is tailored to your specific needs and a lot more focused than a regular massage, picking up issues, sometimes before you are aware of them.
What is an OsteoMassage and would it be good for me?
OsteoMassage is the name we have given our unique treatment approach that can provide the benefits of both osteopathy and sports massage. Despite the sports massage element, this is a treatment designed for anyone with muscular tension and restrictions in their joints, not just sports people.
We advise this treatment for patients that are holding a lot of muscular tension and just feel 'tight' but also want to increase the range of motion at their joints. This way of treating means we can tackle issues in a cost and time effective manner, so you don't have to book separate appointments to get the great benefits of these two treatments.

Treatment Process
Our OsteoMassage treatment process is very simple:

Before booking an OsteoMassage - an osteopathic initial assessment (including treatment) is required to look at your case history in depth, and examine you before any OsteoMassage sessions. This is to find the root cause of any problems you may have and make sure we are addressing the right areas

OsteoMassage Examination - each session we will ask some questions to see how things are progressing and make sure that the correct areas are being worked on. We may need to perform some tests and checks of movements also.

OsteoMassage Treatment - the majority of the session will be used for sports massage, to be able to loosen things up, in order to achieve optimal results when the osteopath works on improving your joint mobility. A range of different methods may be used, such as, such as, mobilisations, dry needling and manipulations.
Every treatment is individual as each person is different, with each injury being unique. We gain consent before any treatment and check that treatment is going to be a safe and effective option before proceeding.
